Although our celebration will look different this year we are still looking forward to coming together as a community to recognize the inspiring people that make CU Boulder a better place.

As an CU alumnus, Ryan has a steeped and storied history of service to his alma mater. Prior to joining the Alumni Association in 2013, he worked in the Office of Admissions where he oversaw the recruitment of prospective students in the U.S. and internationally, and the implementation and integration of IT systems used in admissions and processing of all student applications. Chreist was a 2012 recipient of the Alumni Association’s Robert L. Stearns Award, which recognizes members of the faculty and staff for extraordinary achievement. Philip DiStefano (Chancellor @University of Colorado Boulder) Appointed as CU Boulder’s chancellor in 2009, Philip DiStefano has served CU for 44 years. He joined the university in 1974 as an assistant professor in the School of Education. A first-generation college student and a lifelong educator, Chancellor DiStefano began his education career as a high school English teacher. He earned his doctorate in humanities education from The Ohio State University. Chancellor DiStefano works closely with students, faculty, staff, alumni and donors as well as government, industry, business and community leaders in extending CU Boulder’s legacy as a preeminent national comprehensive research university. His strategic imperatives for the campus are to develop tomorrow’s leaders, be the top university for innovation and to positively impact humanity.
